Google declared the postponement of a virtual event later Friday, which was taking place next week, where the search engine was ready to announce the new update.
Google has announced that its Online Event and the Android 11 Beta update will be postponed again via their Android Developers Twitter page.
"We look forward to telling you all about Android 11, but this isn't time for celebration yet. The June 3 case and the beta update were postponed. On Android 11, we'll be back with more soon," read a company tweet.
But tech tipster Jon Prosser argued last week that the 4a pixel is now scheduled for a July 13 announcement. Google did not announce an event date. If real, it means that we can expect the beta version of Android 11 on this date.
There was no clear explanation behind the delay, but the company indicated that the postponement could be due to national protests. In reaction to the death of Georg Floyd, a Blackman in Minnesota who had died in police custody, people gathered in cities, including Oakland, California, and Atlanta.
