A couple of hours ago, Samsung announced its Exynos 880 mid-range processor. Today, it's officially the first handset to use the latest 5 G chipset. The new South Korean mobile processor is aimed at mid-size smartphones and debuted on Monday with the Vivo Y70.

Features of Exynos 880

The mobile processor is developed with 8 nm FinFET. The Exynos 880 SoC includes the ARM Mali-G76 MP5 GPU that supported state-of-art graphics as well as 3D in-game graphics for gaming and other graphics specifications.

Exynos 880 SoC offers up to 64 megapixels of camera sensors or 20 megapixels of dual-camera configurations. The Samsung Exynos 880 SoC has a 64-bit octa-core CPU that features two 2GHz clocked ARM Cortex-A76 cores, and six 1.8GHz clocked ARM-Cortex-A55 cores.

The Exynos 880 SoC also supports Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, FM radio, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo. Samsung claims "The Exynos 880's NPU and DSP share a controller and Direct-Memory-Access (DMA), which allows faster and efficient AI processing,"

Finally, with screen resolutions up to 2.520x1.080 pixels and LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 (and 5.1 eMMC) Storage, the new Samsung mobile chip works well.

As described, Vivo Y70s was the first of the Exynos 880 SoC. The Vivo Y70s runs Funtouch 10.0 apps from Android and uses the Exynos 880 processor.

The RAM is 6GB/8 GB, with 128 GB of UFS 2.1. It has a full HD+ resolution 6.53-inch IPS LCD and a punch-hole cutout in the upper left corner. The stereo and fingerprint readers are present on the side of your handset.

With a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide corner camera, and a 2MP depth sensor, the new smartphone has a rear-mounted three-camera configuration. There is a double LED flash, and one can capture 4 K 30fps videos with a 48MP sensor. The phone has a 16MP camera with a recording of 1080p on the top.
